Microcoils are wound components whose geometry, materials and electrical requirements are chosen for an application. Coreless coils, coils on magnetic or non-magnetic cores, and coils on bobbins provide different starting points for a design.

Winding and core choices

Configurations include flat spirals, helical coils and more complex shapes. A specification should identify the available space, winding geometry, core or former, connection details, and resistance or inductance targets.

Materials and encapsulation

MICRO NANO TECH offers copper, gold and platinum–iridium wire options, including silicone embedding for implantable applications. Material selection and encapsulation must be assessed for each device and its intended use.

From requirements to a component

Send your drawing or target requirements, including the function, dimensions, quantity and operating conditions. Our engineers can assess feasibility and discuss suitable options. Dimensions, tolerances and acceptance criteria are agreed for each application.
